7,000 VDI Users – Nice!

As you may have seen this morning, Tegile announced its reference architecture with Cisco and VMware.  As with many reference architecture tests, the documented architecture supported 1,000 users.  This user count is set by our test lab budget – not the capabilities of our respective technologies.  If you didn’t get past the title of the announcement, you may have missed that Tegile has many customers running VDI on Zebi Arrays with as much as 7,000 users in production!  That is a lot of users – especially for a new hybrid vendor.  This is an excellent testament to Tegile’s performance scalability.  We all know that these VDI customers are all enjoying the capacity savings of single instance virtual desktop storage as well.

Thank you to our engineers at Tegile as well as our friends at VMware and Cisco for their support!
