At Tegile, we’re about solving real world business and technology problems for our customers by bringing them storage solutions that enable innovation and streamline IT activities. Last week, I had the opportunity to represent Tegile at the 2013 InnoTech San Antonio gathering and to meet many forwarding thinking technology leaders.
This year’s InnoTech conference brought together for discussion a number of very timely topics for CIOs, including big data, cloud, virtualization, BYOD, cybersecurity and more. As the world continues to advance and as more and more organizations look for new ways to run mission-critical workloads and turn their IT departments into innovation engines, these topics are of critical importance. Security, especially, is of major concern as companies look for new ways to run their business systems. As these workloads separate and make their way across data centers, clouds and hosting providers, companies need to be surer than ever that their data is safe and secure.
In addition, as workloads continue to evolve, companies’ storage devices will continue to face what has become known as the I/O blender effect wherein applications with vastly differing I/O patterns all contend for the same storage resources, making it extremely difficult for storage architects to measure exactly how much storage performance is needed. As such, examples abound of companies buying storage devices that, while providing more than enough space, fail as latency levels go through the roof.
Many of the sessions at the InnoTech conference revolved around the big topics I mentioned earlier and carried titles such as:
- Building a Culture of Analytics
- 5 New Innovations That Will Impact the World in 2013
- Enterprise Physics 101
Just about all IT innovation has a common element and that is the need, as mentioned, for storage that can keep pace with the innovation and that enables customers to very easily implement storage devices that can meet any need. At Tegile, we’re proud of the fact that our products don’t force customers to make costly compromises and that we’re able to support just about anything that our customers throw our way today and plan to throw our way in the future. Tegile’s Zebi line of arrays are perfect fits for just about anyone considering big data analytics, new virtualization opportunities, mission-critical production databases, new Exchange deployments and much more. We were also a perfect fit for the forward-thinking attendees at the 2013 InnoTech San Antonio and look forward to 2014!
