John Webster: “What’s different about storage for virtual desktops?”

There is a post on C|net by Evaluator Group’s John Webster about VDI and Storage. He and the team at Evaluator Group certainly get it. IT professionals who have tried to simply add a VDI environment on their legacy storage systems quickly find out that their old dual controller array just isn’t built for VDI. Don’t let the old guard vendors fool you either. Simply adding SSD to an old array only helps you saturate the controller faster. Check out John’s post for some good guidance. If you want more information, he and his team at Evaluator Group have a great reference guide you can download from our site.
