Storage Networking World was quite an event this week. There was definitely a positive vibe regarding market conditions. There also seemed to be a healthier mix of end users in Dallas relative to the last couple years. We had our share of drama too. Twelve tornados struck the Dallas area on Tuesday. All of the show attendees were locked into the Expo Hall for two hours. I’ve seen some good tricks vendors use to get people to their booth, but this was a new one.
We had our customer Jef McCreery from Washington and Lee University speak about lessons learned and best practices in deploying VDI. He had a packed room and lots of people hung out afterwards to pick his brain. Thanks Jef – you did an excellent job! If you are interested in learning more about his VDI project, you can view the case study.
