What? Deduplication boosts performance?!?!?

How long have we heard from legacy storage vendors that deduplication is bad for performance?  Read any user guide from them, and you will see the danger icon followed by an explanation that deduplication should not be used with high performance, low latency production applications.  Well, we turned the deduplication model upside down and actually get performance increases from using deduplication.  How, you ask?  Watch this video I did with George Crump from Storage Switzerland while we were at VMworld last week:
